Poll Question:
With some teams with slow play and long coaches, it takes some teams to still be playing at 12:00 midnight. I think we should try spliting tables (at location where there is an available table, using practice table if necessary) at the beginning of league night. It has also been suggested to play the first match and then split tables for match 2 & 3 and then 4 & 5. This will get players that need to leave by 10:00 or so, out of there. Question is 1. split tables at start of night 2. Split tables after 1st match is over. 3. Leave as is and only split tables at 9:30 if not in 4th match.
Sometimes the matches take longer than expected.We leave by 11:00 as we are up by 5:00 A.M.Most teams have more than one coach, and person who can keep score. Once it a play off match my game Started at 11:30 and it wasn"t the last game.
if you maintain a time limit on shots and coaches the matches will take much less time. also if the captains would have a player ready to play soon as a match is finished this would help with time. if the city tournament we are limited to 1 min coaches and 3 1/2 hours to finish . what is wrong with every night of play. since most of the players in this league play several nights.
I agree with the above. You can't watch both tables and also we are forgetting about the bar owners. They want you to be there as long as it takes to play. I like to stay with the rule which is 2 tables after 9:30pm if not in the 4 match or leave it up to the player choice. Most of our games have ended way before 12 midnight. And from the looks of the score above will be left like that.
I think splitting tables after the first match will help to finish early than usually, I play at balukas and we have 1 practice table to do this, but if others teams finish their matches, we gonna have more tables to be used, so that way every team can finish no later than 10:30 pm.
