Several players have gotten really bad about the language and Captains need to watch their players and Players need to watch their Captain. As it states in your rule book, your handicap is based on the best 10 matches out of 20. This means that each week your handicap changes to some degree and you do not see it unless it moves your skill level up or down. For example: my 20th score is a loss but just barely, i am a 3 and played a 4 and there were 6 games played we were on the both on the hill so there for he did not walk away with the win and i had a high loss. Now this week that 20th score will drop off with my new loss of the 4 winning 4 and me winning ZIP. this is a big loss and that will move my average way down and i could move from a 3 to a 2 skill level. Let's reverse that and my 20th match was a BIG loss and this week it drops off and the new loss come on that was barely a loss, if my average was high enough that new score could move me from a 3 to a 4. It is not just about win and loss, it is the average of the player you are and the average of the player you are playing, the size of the table you play on at home and the size of the table you are playing on tonight, the defensive shots, the number of games in that match you win and lose, the number of innings in your games and match. Those are just a few of the factors that are involved in caculating your handicap/skill level. Just shoot the best you can and if you go up, great. If you are a 4 and another player is a 4 it does not mean you are the same level in the 4 group. It does not mean that each time you shoot you always shoot the same and at the same level. Also, remember there are some players out there who like to brag what they do or did but it does not make it so. I know a player who is bragging about beating a 7, 2/0. When I looked the record up he won, not beat a 7. It was 2/4 and the two he got were 8 out of turns by the 7. As I said he won, he did not beat the 7. You can always let me know what you think about a player but as I have said so many times before: DON'T say this person is no 4 he is at least a 6. Tell me why you think that and if he is running innings up then show the defensive marks on him. DON'T say this person kept checking the innings to make sure they had enough to keep their skill level down and then when I look at defensive shots there are 1. This can not be and I don't want to hear that. Thanks, Pat

We will also hold Scotch Doubles Tournaments on those days for those who want to play. Entry will be $5.00 per person for the Scotch Doubles with all money going to the travel fund for the grand winners for the trip to Vegas Doubles in August.
